Bomb checker

Hey guys, how do I use the bomb checker? I have downloaded it but not tried it yet. I connect my box to the pc via my modem, any simple instructions for a simple person would be helpfull. My box by the way is an Envision 500c which I believe is a Dreambox with a different front.

It looks pretty simple to use, enter your ip address in and hit "Check DM500".

Obviously it assumes that you can ftp or ping your dreambox from your PC. No modem is needed in connecting your dreambox to your PC.

hello what exactly is bomb checker and do i need to check my new 500c ?

it checks whether you have a dm500 clone or not.

Chances are you already know it's a clone .

Just don't put Gemini 4.3.1 image on and you'll be fine.

I got a dreambox 500c from china for ?50 and would imagine it is a clone but bomb checker says its real, as enyone else had this or have i just not done it right ?

I'll second that cozier, there are much better images than Gemini, especially if you know you have a clone.

i have a m8 who works in quality control at his job and he recons the box.s from dvds@ll@r are the real thing but have bee rejected by db and sold on in bulk to china. he showed me a few with little bumps and scratches. so you could be right. any one esle any ideas?

Maybe it is real then, It looked spot on fully boxed with proper instruction manual, Holograms on box and reciever.

If it is then ive got a real bargain i guess. :-)
