dreambox for cable

i am looking at buying a dreambox 800 hd. Dont know much about them. I have VM through cable. I know the box requires an internet connection but does it require a cable connection as well? therefore are there two different types of boxes, one for cable & one for satellite? if this is the case is cardsharing more difficult with cable?

dreamboxes not working on cable m8 only boxes working are the starview 7 and kryptview A780 and the A750 with an adaptor, these work by cardshare ( google for info not to be discussed on here ) to which you have to pay a sub, this method is not reliable, as the service is up and down like a whores draws. ( these boxes need a cable connection and an internet connection )
