DM500 everybody has a deep voice!!!???

    Hi there,

Thank you Digital Kaos for all the stickys. Fantastic help. I bought my box a couple of months ago I have slowly found time to figure things out. First I sorted cable, then I tried looking at satellite (looks like a lot more to learn and a lot more fun).

I did have it working but now everybody is talking with a deep voice!!! It started two days ago but after I gave it 20mins and restarted the box a couple of times it went back to normal.

Yesterday, however, was a different story. I can do nothing to stop it.

I am using the openmedia cs and have flashed a Gemini image.

Has anyone experienced this??? I hope I haven't broken this box with my constant tinkering!!

Have you disabled 'fast zapping ' in the system settings?

I don't recall a setting of fast zapping, but I have been playing with a few ....
Thanks I will have a look for this.
I was looking at a .prio file and chances are I Ftp'ed it, it was supposed to speed up my descrambling times but I didn't notice a difference. Could this be a possible cause?

Thanks for the help guys. Managed to sort it. I played around with the cable and inadvertently touched the cable off the casing while the box was on. Whatever happened the box didn’t like it. I then turned the box off crossed my fingers, cause I was sure the box went pop, reconnected, held my breath and turned the box on..... And it was back to normal.

Touching the signal off the casing must have grounded the box and brought the sound back inline. Delighted!!
