    Wireless Bridge

Hi guys, I have set up a Wireless Bridge connected to my DM600, it's communicating with the wireless network, as I can access the set up page via the web browser. The ip of the Dreambox is set to the same as the Wireless bridge, the gateway is set as the wireless router's ip, DHCP is disabled. The prob is when I run DCC, all 3 legs go green with "checking network" then an error appears and no connection is made, "Telnet connected" then "Telnet Disconnected, and the Dreambox leg remains red.

    Never mind I've sorted it.!

You can't have two devices on the network with the same ip address. Even though your bridge is a relay, it's still on the network.

Give your dreambox a different ip address or enable DHCP. DHCP will allow the router to control the devices on your network and it will assign the correct ip addresses to each device.

Even though the dreambox is connected to the bridge, the default gateway is still the router ip address so you have that part correct.

Add one to the end of the dreambox ip address and it should work ok.

You're right, I had to enable DHCP in the end to get it working, I didnt think it was right that the bridge and the dreambox had the same ip, just when i gave the dreambox it's own ip DCC didnt find it. Still it's working now, chhers tho DF

I have a Linksys WRT54G router and I use a Linksys WET54G bridge for the dreambox.

I'm in the market for a Linksys 4-port wireless switch as I've got a PC and Satallite box downstairs that also needs an internet connection. The wireless bridge only has 1 port.

I've gone for the Homeplug option instead of wireless bridge and this works well too. Streaming DVD wirelessly from the laptop. :-)
