dolby digital on dreambox?

    dolby digital on dreambox?

    Now that some movies broadcast DD. could the dreambox 500c via connection of digital audio out connected to a suitable amplifier output dolby digital sound?

          Hi guys has anybody managed to get dolby digital/ac3 sound to work on 500c if so any info. on how would be much appreciated. Thanx in advance

            Hey i've got my dreambox 500c connected by optical, i've only had it for a a few weeks, but the only channel where i pick up a dolby digital signal is bbc hd, others i dont thnk broadcast in dolby digital, from what i've seen. what channels are you looking at that give DD?

              Yes the only channel I get DD now is BBC HD but DD used to work with DW 1.6 image on the movie channels.
              Also a friend of mine gets DD on movies on his Kryptview box on movies

                It depends on your cable provider. On NT*L in Ireland they only broadcast in stereo, so that's what I get over the TOS link to my receiver.
