connection prepared now switch on the dreambox...but nothing happens when i connect the dreambox

aarrggghhh heads battered am in the process of going through each version of dreamup any help would be majorly appreciated

try dcc the dreamup below works on the 500

comport6 usb null modem also

follow the guide albiet stiill at stage1/2 then nothing..the boxes are new out the box so wondering if ive missed something..again any help much appreciated

u haveent installed the null modem drivers

there was a disc that came with it, i installed the drivers for win7, and when checked says device working properly..is that what you mean??

usualy com port one are you using a lap top or tower ??do NOT connect the Ethernet cable while using dreamup

have tried on lappy and pc both with no joy..

none of the usb ports are comport 1, lowest was 5 i think going upto 12..

got no ethernet connected at anytime altho both are connected to internet wirelessly

Can set comport to Com1 in comprt property. Use 'right click.' dats 378 i think.

when i do this it says cannot open port when i open up dreamup??

ive now got just the null cable attached without the usb to an old computer..com1 on dreamup yet still says connection prepared plug in dreambox hheeeeellpppppppppppppppp

sounds stupid but not so long ago i had that problem it was the power supply i tried an old xmas 12v adapter i had in the attic worked a treat pm sent if you need more help also use the old pc those usb adapters are shiote

hv u chk the 2 female ends dat:
piin2 A side connected to pin3 B side
pin3 A side connected to pin 2 B side
and pin5 to pin5.
( dats nul cable connection ).
