    is flash slow

    tried to flash my dbox 500c but when I connect it says box found turn on dreambox I do this and nothing happens waited 20 mins download bar also stays blank

      How are you trying to flash it mate? With a Null modem cable or with a X-over?

          I am using a 9 pin female to female null modem but this computer does not have a connection for it so I have added a usb extension although the box is connected with the null the pc connection is through usb installed the disc for the drivers for the usb

              Some people have problems using usb to serial adapters. Have a look at the stickie below to check it is set up correctly.

                  yup the adapter is where your problem lies... One i use at work requires drivers to get it to function... I chucked it out the window after too many wasted attempts with a NM cable to my DM600..... they're still crap, though they can work for some things and some people..
