Ive got my DM500c through and i need some help unlocking to ppv channels,
Im not sure what software i need to flash the box with ?
Also my winzip wont unzip the rar folder from here, and ideas why? or what software i need?
I have a new null modem cable alredy

If you need a good working image that you can simply flash to box using dreamup.exe then p.m me.....i'll send you a link.....if you need a copy of dreamup.exe i have that also....
please note that image has everything you need for box to work.........flash and your done.....just click NO to flash erase.........ONLY WORKS IN NON N3 AREAS........

Thanks for replying. i know i could do that. But just in case, i need to have it reflashed with Maybe Gemini or New PLI image, what are the files needed to copy to and where shall i put it in?

Cos i have seen Gemini and PLI has two different images. I wish to learn on how to configure. A guide or a little help will be very useful.

Re-Flash mean "flash again" with a new image right? Correct me if I am wrong. Most people know flash will erase the box and all data will be gone.

Are you asking about how to build a working box? What is necessary to be transfer from a working box?

hi all i managed to have the box set up and running. but another problem.. i have exclamation mark on the channel. whats that and how to get rid of it?

But you would then have to reflash correct bootloader for the type of tuner you have installed with a j-tag.

Oh no need. As claimed by another poster that I just need to highlight the channels and press menu. Then there's option to remove flag. Its fine now.

Another last question, my root folder is currently 100% used. Any way to remove some files via telnet? Log file maybe?

Hi all having serious trouble with this total armature witht the dream box and its come pre loaded with the GP2 image and is picking nothing up does anyone know an easy step by step guide to setting up and installing a DM800 box please

Thanks for all the help guys, you have been very helpful. 2 sets of cross cables and USB adapters later (1st set didn't work and I was lazy to figure out whether it was the cable or adapter that's broken so i bought another set), I'm overjoyed that I've managed to finally get the box running even though I can only watch FTA channels. Currently i'm at the part where I'm hunting for the keys to transfer into the box.
This process is like some endless RPG where you need a key to open a box which contains a key to another box...
