DM600 DM600 - Streaming from NAS & internal HDD

ok guys, I am wanting to stream avi movies from my NAS drive via my dm600

However I already have a 250gig HDD mounted internally in the DM600 for the past year, so when in file mode it currently sees my files on the internal HDD.

Is there a method that allows me to switch between the two and view the files on the NAS for playback on the DM and the internal HDD or can i only have one 'file location' ?

ive havnt got a dm600 any more daughter had that for christmas gutted

im just guessing but the shared folder on the nas would have some thing different as your

internal hdd path is /media/hdd/movie
so
externalhdd path is /media/hdd/recordings or /hdd/recordings (with your avi files in)
you cant have to paths the same
you should be able to mount this via web interface
or
menu>setup>communications>mounts

then i just thought i think the dreambox need a vlc plugin and runnnig on the pc
the mount should be ok to sort out ,konce you think it mounted to test it put a couple of mp3,s in the recordings folder the dm600 will recognise them

but im not to hot the vlc stuff does my head in

I can mount the NAS in the mount manager and i am aware that i can have up to 8 mounts.. But in Filemode i can only ever see the internal HDD files, i see no way of viewing the NAS files if I have the HDD connected and configured..

I am trying to use like i use my XBMC, with which i can flick around the workgroup and view shared folders or volumes and play movies from my NAS, PCs, DM and its own HDD.


BTW I am using the PLi Iolite image on the DM.. Any Ideas?
