With your NTL box, the output from the RF-OUT gave you all the channels that you paid for as well as the scart. With the dreambox, you will only get encrypted channels from the scart or composite video connections. The RF-OUT on the dreambox is simply a passthrough from the main RF-IN. This connection is only useful if you want to feed it into another dreambox. Unfortunately it's useless for what you want to do. -
I use a video sender to send the picture upstairs.
Only problem is If you have a Wii and it's on it will interfere with the signal. Anyone got a better solution?

I would agree with Dreamer. I was a but dubious of the senders but bought my sis one at christmas and it works great. So i bought myself one and it runs off the dbox to the bedroom. It does however clash with the ps3 if you have that on.Comment

HQ 5.8GHz Video Sender Kit > Maplin
This sender works on 5.8GHz so is reported to be less prone to interferance and have a better range. Will this particular sender work with a DM500c ? A question at the bottom of the Maplin web page says the remote function will only work with IR not IrDA. I guess my question then is "does a DM500 use IR or IrDA" ? Thanks.Comment

I bought this sender and it works great, changes channels too,but you do need the origional remote for the equipment you wish to controll as i found a "multi" remote would not work. That looks like exactly the same one as in my earlier link to Maplins (but ?20 cheaper). Hope you don't mind me asking but what model are you using it with ? Does it work properly with DM500 ? What sort of range are you getting ?I bought this sender and it works great, changes channels too,but you do need the origional remote for the equipment you wish to controll as i found a "multi" remote would not work. Sorry been so long replying mate (don't always check all posts).
I use it with a dM500c and get very good range form the sender,in fact i took the receiver to my mates, about 100 yards from where my tv is placed, and picked up the signal at his place. It does suffer slightly if people stand in "line of sight" though but this can be overcome by placing the transmitter on a shelf or other high place.Comment
