help with dm500c

hi, im new to this i just got a dm500c as a gift(have no idea how to use it) i managed to get dk v1.1, and folowed DM500 How to FTP the fix into the Dreambox for noobs
Whenever I do a transponder scan I get this message
"all known transponders have been tried but no lock was possibly. Verify antenna/cable setup or try another satalite/network."

it doesn't seem to be picking up and transponders at all. What can I do to fix this? i have bought a new antenna and a signal booster, but the snr will not go further than 70%, ( i tied the antenna with a freeview box and it was very good signal,

hi to scan a dm500c you need a cable connection not a antenna.without cable connection nothing will come in.

To use a 500c on mmds, You need to be on Nxl mmds ireland, if you are trying to get Chxxus mmds you will need the 500T

have u got a cable company conection there

basically m8 what u need to do is get virgin media installed where you live (a basic ?5 a month package will do) once you have that you will have the input needed for the the dm500 and you can cancel your connection pretty much straight away and still use it to get all the channels.

(technically there is a 1 year minimum contract but if you tell them circumstances have changed and you cant afford 2 pay for the package there's really **** all they can do)
