ftp problem

Hi all am new here and this is my first attempt to use a dreambox 500c. I have the digital kaos img installed no probs and i have connected my dreambox to my pc via router using filezilla and can see all the dirs, an can remove files from dreambox to pc no probs but when i try pc to dreambox transfer i get error 553 could not create file !!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated
UPDATE: I can write to the var folder but cannot put anything in the var _init folder e.g keys (witch i assume that is where they are mean't to go)

You don't write any files to /var_init, you can only put files in /var.

If its not allowing you to ftp any files to /var, reflash the image or do a factory reset and try again.

Menu > Setup > Expert Setup > Factory Reset

Cheers mate have but keys in var/keys folder and roms in var/scee folder and have started a scan hopefully that sounds right to you because i am just winging it here !

I've just noticed that the Spoonfed Noobs Guide is wrong as it tells people to FTP the files to var_init instead of var... that's probably why there is so many people having problems FTP'ing files!..
