problem with dm500c

hi there guys trying to flash a blank 500c with an image via dream up , but when i connect it to the pc , then when i hit start ,its says power on the dreambox which i do , but it still says turn on dreambox, plugged it into the tv , but does nothing , just blank screen, have gone into the drmbox via ftp to look at teh folders , they are all empty , the var file doesnt have any keys or scce files , so what can i do to repair this problem

is there an image wot is it do u have the network ticked on dreamup

Are you using a null modem serial cable? You can pm me and I can guide you over skype if you want.

theres no image at all !!!, got the rs232 null modem and also the crossover cable ,

and dont have networked ticked on dreamup

tick network box and flash with dw2.0 or dk1.1 m8 theres plenty of help for dk image the ftp the box

but probelm is , how to give the box an ip address, when cant get that menu up on teh dreambox?
or shud i nto give it an ip address

ok have now clciked that and its staying at teh emssage switch on the dreambox , but it is switched on ....

actual wording is ''conection prepared now switch on the dreambox''

still says it been waiting 5 minutes now

but not acknowledging it

is it asking for flash or has it connected sayin waiting for second aknowlede

connects says ''uploading flash loader'' then flash loader uploaded then getting that message about waiting for acknowledge

do u connect null modem cable then press connect then power ur box up

on the right hand side you have selected your pc's ip address and not your dreambox's.
