Frustrated with Dreambox!!!

HI all
I'm really lost as to where to go next

After reading through all the stickies I installed DK 1.1 with a null cable, installed the keys/scce folders from this link, via ftp. RapidShare: Easy Filehosting.

I then did a scan (both fro my area, brute force & 6952) - this did not turn up UKTV channels nor Sly 1 etc - I then restarted the cam (evocamd 2.12) and the picture came into view- all seemed good

I then converted services/bouquets files from the downloads section for my area and got more channels inc sly one but they still don't work. Channels like discovery/sly 1 etc do have the channel information but no picture

I really don't know what to do - I've thought that it may be evocamd 2.12 but have put 2.14 in the tmp file but it does not show up in the manage add ons to manually install.

Can any one help or am I resigned to not watching these channels

what signal are you getting on the channels in question m8? if its 0 then the channel info you have transferred over is wrong.

dreadfand - if by signal you mean the numbers in the Bottom RH corner of the screen when you select it - e.g. for sly sports 1 i'm getting fluctuating between 60-65% the next number is 99% & 16545 after.

The channel also sys "switch service could not be found" again all info about program times is displayed

Have you ever had channels in your area? or is this your first attempt.

Also your not in the M38 area of Manchester are you?

no, Ive got other channels just that some show that there is no service. No not in M38 i'm in the bolton area

Try going to a channel that is working, preferably not a free one.

Press menu->Setup->Service Searching->Manual transponder scan

Tick "INV"
Tick "Network Search"
Start Search

That helps me find more channels than searching using the first power-on searches.

However in my area at least one MUX has separate PAT/PMT tables (meaning they are not found by network search from a different MUX) and I had to find several channels manually.
