    Dreambox 500C or Clone

Sorry I have seen a few posts but can no longer find them.
I think I have a clone, but how can I tell and then what is the current best image for a clone.

    Thanks

Keep away from the gemini images and you will be fine. DW is very popular amongst a lot of people as it has been modded for uk.

Any image apart from the latest Gemini image, as Curious has already said, you'll not go wrong with the DW images.

        Gemini Image

All of the Gemini images don't have in the clone kill just stay away from the 4.3 image if you are not sure what you have a clone or genuine dreambox

I have a clone (the real ones don't have a F-type screw cable connection) and use Diorj image, I like it's user interface to others.

You can still use gemini images if you like gemini with clones just stay from any new releases.

Anything before v4.3.x is safe to use.

                        Price

One way to tell if it a clone is how much did you pay.
I paid ?95 and sure enough it was a clone. Real box is ?150+ and is not usually discounted. there is also a list of authorised dealers and clone dealers on the net.
I was new to the sport and thought i was getting a bargain.

                          DM500 Clone Bomb Checker

There is also 4.31 clean from this link
Gemini 4.3.1 max var without bomb (did checked this one with the above tool)

                          Info come from here: http://.xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx
however, still like other said...to be safe and want to be with Gemini...then, 4.2 and lower will be fine
