Has Nagra3 been cracked here in the UK?

Hey guys ive been away for a bit so was just wondering if the nagra 3 has now been cracked in the uk and if so can we go back to using ou dreamboxes and getting all the channels back??

Sorry if i have annoyed anyone by making the thread was just super curious and super excited as i read it on a different site but as i rate this site to be the best site for things like dreamboxes and stuff i thought id get confirmation here first.

    Thanks

Its fairly unlikely to be cracked in the UK as the only way of doing it would be very expensive - its just not worth while for anyone to spend such huge amounts of money for such a relatively tiny market.

In the case of N3, cracking it elsewhere would be almost irrelevant to the UK market. We use a completely different system to the N3 used in the USA (different chip on the card, different maths for the encryption). The same card is used in some parts of Europe but that one card actually supports multiple encryption types, with the UK opting to use an encryption scheme not used elsewhere. The protocols all appear similar but the underlying algorithms are very different.

Its really all about the keys (and knowing how to use those keys) but, unfortunately, Kudelski have learn't some lessons (or rather they bought up new technology) which means those keys are now exceedingly difficult to extract !
