You can if the feeds still live, which is highly likely. I think it's best to subscribe and take the lowest package. Give a bit take a bit more

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

i'd say u will alright ha ha,
the reason we point this out is quiet simple if everybody gave something back to the cable company i.e broadband and or a basic package, maybe they make enough to keep the thing up and running, otherwise its the same as itv digital, gone.

best way is to sign up for basic broadband... it's far better than anyone else's (IMO) and it's all you need for a dreambox split. Whats the point of paying for basic TV if you're gonna use a dreambox and not use any of what you paid for ? pay for internet and use that to get TV.. and download stuff

                Check for terrestrial TV

I would recommend (as Bulldog said) that you check for tv on the cable feed. If you connect a tv to the cable feed, it should receive at least some of the normal channels (eg BBC1,BBC2 etc). Then you will know the feed is "live". Note that they may not be in their normal channels. At my place they sat between Ch 21-30 instead of Ch 41-51.

You wouldn't want to buy the box and then find nothing there would you?

Better advice would be (as above) to get the basic broadband.

                Good Luck

To be honest I have got the TV xl package and the 20mb broadband package from them. I use a voip phone so didnt need that but I did need good reliable recording of shows and I love the on demand content. I only bought my 500c for sky sport really. I watch the rugby league but refused to pay skys's charges to watch a sport for only 8 months of the year. It annoyed me even more as the only thing I ever watch on sky sports is the rugby not a single other thing and I have seen every film they are peddling on the movies. It costs just shy of ?20 a month just to get sky sports on Virgin and about the same when I was with sky. Even if my box only works for 6 months I am winning. I am also not helping virgin pay any money to sky so they can fund ridiculous bids for national sporting events depriving the nation of international cricket, football and rugby while driving the astronomical wages of footballers ever higher. By stealing sky sports I am doing my bit to help reduce the wages of footballers. I sleep at night. .

and pps the broadband is the best you can get provided your area isn't oversubscribed.
