DM500 Dreamboc 500c set upfatal error

I'm new to this whole forum and setting up of the Dreambox 500C thing so sorry if you've heard this 100 times before. After much searching and connecting with an ftp (found that out at least) I've downloaded key lists which I didn't have. I managed to find add ons and installed ccam 2.1.10. I've not found a Gemini file I keep reading about though. I tried rescanning on Bruteforce but now I have a fatal error on var/tuxbox/config/enigma. This whole thing is really tough!
I'm struggling so please be gentle with explanations.

I've rebooted now and added the keys again - presuming they're up to date. I just get the fta channels still, back to where I started. It doesn't want to connect to the net now saying url error, though I've not changed any leads. This is really difficult to sort. appreciate your prev reply though dont understand this pm thing.

you will need keys and roms, also a cables.xml file, and you will need a cam .

Once you got all these in order you will be fine and should start clearing channels.

I've not been able to download that file as I get a message saying it is corrupt or unsupported by ISO which it defaults to. Somehow I'm all rebooted and managing to get some channels extra to fta but still long way short of getting them all. Do I need more key files? How would I install a new image if I need and which one does all channels. I've got a choice of Ccam addons from installer menu. Would one of those do it?
