can anyone shine a light on thsi one for me please?i have installed dw2.0 on a 500c and checked to make sure i was getting all the channels and such which i am now to save me time i used dreambox edit to transfer services and boquets from a file i had done for my m8 (i use these on many occassions)but when i open them i get a list of bouquets which say services removed? ive tried to reload channels and all that but still nothing so i decided to see if i could send from dreambox to a folder and when i did that lo and behold there was my bouquets fully listed whit every channel in order and in each bouquet? but when i tried to send them back got the same message services removed ?arggggggggggggggh

The 'services removed' message means you have a bouquet pointing to a channel that's not there.

You know that it is there because it works on your box. So it might be that the tuner on your m8s box is just a wee bit weaker than your own and it's dropping the signal a bit!

Or it might be black magic .

In any case, the dw v2 image has a 'Services Backup' option inside the User Features menu. That creates a services.tar.gz file in /tmp. Transfer that to the new box in /tmp and use the 'Services Restore' option.

ive tried the dw 1.6.5 and its fine i just flash it and send bouquets and service files to it and phooof everything is there its this dw2.0 that given me the problem the box is new and i tried 1.6.5 and thot id give a go to dw 2.0 i tried this image b4 and it was am sure the same problem i had

Are you copying over the whole /enigma folder?

no what am doing is i install the image and make sure everything is fine ,then i use dreambox edit to transfer the service and bouquets over ,now i have scanned with a dw 1.6.5 image and sorted the bouquets and files in order eg. tv.films.sport.etc. etc. etc all in all i have 9 bouquets now when i transfer them and i go in there is 9 files in boquets but at the side it says services removed ,but when i dreambox edit them back to the computer all the files have the rite things in them eg in tv i have bbc1 bbc 2 and so on same with the sports ,films ive tried to reload services that dont work either

Maybe try that gav suggested, a factory reset and try again.

l just save from ftp to a folder in my pc ..and if anything goes wrong just drag in again ...

rite ive flashed this box with dw 1.6.5 and sent service files and bouquets via dreambox edit twice and everything ia fine ive updated it to dw 2.0 and sent bouquets and service files and i still get the same message argggggggggggggg mite do it again and spend umpteen hours scanning and puting in files via remote and see what happens at least i know the box is fine

Don't use Dreamboxedit, just copy the files over using FTP.

Copy the userbouquet files to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/cable
Copy the services file to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma
Copy the bouquets file to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma

In the blue button, go to user features and select 'Reload Channels'.

Or...

Telnet to the box and type this command...

killall -9 enigma

Or....

Open your browser and paste these into your address bar...

Obviously replace the ip address with your own.

ok tried all this and still no joy i did manage to get an old set of service files and bouquets uploaded via dreamedit and started to sort them up but when i rebooted after saving again nothing was there also when i transfered teh new roms nothing cleared on it either i had the free ones but no others cleared it looks like im not gonna have success with this image back to 1.6.5 ive had this problem with a couple of boxs and allways went back to dw 1.6.5 and had no problem transfering or putting in roms

Strange this im getting the same on 2 boxes with the new DK image, FTP'd em accross and and all services are there just the bouquets are showing services removed???

Can anyone shed any light?
