cannot get any channels dm500c

I have installed the darkstar 2 image but when i do an automatic scan it does not find any transponders.I have it connected via my broadband line but have not plugged an aerial in yet.Is this where i am going wrong,i also cannot shutdown the box via remote or standby button on remote so have to keep unplugging it.I have ftp'd the keys and scee over on to the box ready to go but get no channels at all.Please help a novice who is now tearing their hair out.

When DB powered up prees and hold down info button to start evocam.

You can try this with the image you r using but no guarantee as it is not one I have used. Your image may require you to hold down blue key on remote to start evocam.

what do you mean you have no ariel plugged in... ? You have connected the coax cable to the antennae in at the back of the box?

using 2 way splitter from broadband cable and using a co ax cable into the ant in socket nothing out using scart lead i am using dk 1.1

Try connecting without going through splitter as it may faulty or a weak signal

yes tried bruteforce and now starting to find channels it still scanning through.
