BEWARE! ALL SET TOP BOX USERs AND TRADERS MUST READ THIS!

Dear all faithfull SET TOP BOX USERs,

    Please Please Beware!!

There is a LARGE stamp down happening with hese boxes using the illegal firmwares!

    Some Guide Lines.

    - Never have the illegal firmwares on a disk or stored on your computer "NEVER"
    - Never have boxes "at home or in quantity" with illegal firmwares stored on them as that where the law is broken! "unless your using it :O)"
    - Always say you bought the box from a market stall "car boot sale" with firmware fully uploaded, never piont out any websites or people where you got them from as we all know it takes 2 to tango.

-Always use a window washer to erase history of web searches and webpages , run regular washes so never any history stored on your computer implementing you to download or using the illegal firmwares.

-Inform your friends who are users of these set top boxes to not boast to much about there boxes benefits etc "just brings to much attention"

JUST NEED COMMON SENSE IN THESE MATTERS!

    SO PLEASE BEWARE!

IM SURE I HAVE MISSED A FEW THINGS OUT SO PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO ADD GUIDE LINES!

I'm sure everyone knows the risks of using these boxes.

And i don't see the authorities targeting the individual to be honest.

Well Don't be to sure my friend as Cable and Sat Suppliers will sue each user caught if found receiving channels not paid for!

      Read this please :
Police Sergeant Colin Dassow said: "Members of the public should be reminded that using set-top boxes that have been illegally modified to receive digital TV subscription channels are committing a criminal offence.

"Anyone receiving these channels and making no payment to the respective media company is at risk of being prosecuted."

Malcolm Davies, Virgin Media's head of fraud and security, said: "We take this matter extremely seriously and will continue to work closely with all the police forces throughout the UK to prosecute individuals connected with this type of TV fraud."

I think people know the risk.

You haven't posted your sources for those quotes or advice so I don't see any point in this thread continuing.
