DM600 - Waiting for acknowledge

Hi people,

Just received my DM600PVR. Connected it to my laptop with null modem and fired up dreamup. The flash uploader started and then I just get the message...

"upload complete, waiting for acknowledge" and it just hangs there. Following is screenshot.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Im really struggling here people.

I've tried 3 different versions of dreamup. All have the same issue but version 1.3.0.2 outputs to the console a message saying "Found Injectable DCA at pos 219845". But still the get the message waiting for acknowledge.

Also tried changing the port from com 5 which it started on to com 2 but still same issue in dreamup when i select com 2.

I am using a USB dongle with my null modem cable - do you think this is the issue? How can I test if the DM600 and PC are communicating ok over the null modem cable?

Really want to flash the DM600 with the Pli Jade image but can't get around this issue, done lots of searching but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

try connecting a lan cable as well & tick the use network box.

Do I need a cross-over ethernet cable for that? I have a cable that is named a cat5e cable is that the same as a crossover cable?

Yes cross-over cable if you have broadband you could try that cable.

I would say your usb to serial adapter may be the problem. Lots of people cant get these to work, but many can. Have you tried the same box and same null modem cable with a pc which has a serial port?

I tried one of those & it wouldn't connect at least his got a response but as you say it could be that.

I am having the same prob too waiting for aclnowledge.
Tried diff image diff dreamup can't get connected through network because the box has no image right now.
Before that happened i was getting the mem crc32 does not match local crc32.
Any help will be appreciated.

steve this is a thread for the DM600C (A Cable box) you have a D7000S.. you will receive the wrong information if you are not clear in your posts
