New Images for SG use only

i have a dm800hd, my box will occasionally give a black screen for 2 to 3 seconds while watching. Its so irritating, especially when the the show is in a most interesting part then its just black out for a while then resume. is my box spoilt? guru, please help...

Noob here. If I get the DM800HD SE, which image should I use,
the ones for DM800HD or the DM800SE ?

Image are not interchangeable between both two sets.

why don't u do a trial and erro?

1) check Hdmi cable or others input and output hdmi slot on tv,stb
2) try RCA video output
3) video playback to test any black screen issue?

if signal problem

1) check behide stb input and wall output point any loose?
2) change a better coaxial cable?
4) open stb check tuner card slot any loose
5) if got spare tuner card to test

the above still didn't work

1) reflash image and backup magic file
2) reflash still don't work for you
then sad to say u had to send back to ur supplier.

i think i screwed up my china dreambox DM800HD
i added a hard disk to try recording, initially it worked fine
after a few days when i switch on the DM800HD, it always say harddisk is sleeping..need to power off and on a few times to get it right

got fed up and check out the software update via the remote
after updating, it crashes, show the green screen and then can no longer be boot up

search online for help, came to this forum, and saw this thread
straightaway flash one of the images provided by ypvs125

great! it can boot up!

then i realize all paid channels cannot be viewed
then i read somemore and realized i am supposed to backup the keys


ermmm...are these keys unique and cannot be used by more than 1 dreambox? how can i get or buy a new set of keys?

Which image is less resource intensive?
My DM800HD seems to lag when changing channels, works fine just immediately after restart.
After a few hours it'll start lagging (channel menu not the video)

Tried changing the batteries as well, bought another remote with the same problems.

I guess it is normal for a dm800hd to behave this way and would be worse if u install a lot of plugin as it occupy a lot of yr memory space. U can try merlin or open pli image.

Hi I'm a newbie here. I screwed up my China DM800HD PVR by scanning for channels once I hooked it up. I also upgrade the software. Now I can't view any channels at all, including the free one. Can anybody give me a step by step guide? I know I may irritate senior members here, but I have spent the whole day looking through the forum threads here and it's like a jungle to me...Please help....

Did u buy the plug n play box? If yes, u should not be having this problem.

when i try to refresh i got this

Updates:

Managed to reflash my DM500 with the PLi Jade 3 image

now the key are gone and i can only watch FTA channels.

How do i generate new keys ?

Hi,
Seem to have problem with FTP connection. Can't seems to connect to my DM800HD via FTP.
Username; root
PW: dreambox
Port: 21
So cannot FTP the plugin into my box....
Any chance I can flash the nfi image (SG-Newnigma V3.3.2-dm800-SSL-84b.nfi) using web browse?
