for Dm500 is better to resize picon .i don't have dm500c but i suggest not to use picon on dm500c it will slow down a little bit this is what i feel

firstly bouquets that i edit didn't add any more extra stuff to full channel list.
if you are using the correct sgsh plugin this will not be happen.

to ansure the correct sgsh plugin are use download and reinstall from #168

i have downloaded the latest image.. thanks anyway for ur help..

Devicename: dm800se
Enigma Version: ramiMAHER-
Image Version: Newnigma2 v3.3.2 2012-03-28

I had to use the the above image because the images on this forum either can't be flashed (SG-Cnigma-Open Pli 2.1-dm800se-ssl84b.nfi, SG-Cnigma2-Gp3(21072012)-dm800-SSL-84b.nfi both show error message "IMAGE FOR WRONG ARCHITECTURE") or the image lacks mgcamd support.

The plug-in works on my old DM800HD-PVR using sim201e-76a-newnigma2-snapshot-dm800-20100718020624.

You have flash a wrong image for yr box that's why it shows error message " IMAGE FOR WRONG ARCHITECTURE". Get those image already pre configured for SG, so u just ftp keys and scce files and restart softcam.

Those SG images in my list are not configured for SG?

Anyway, I am past the flashing part. My problem is now about the Chinese program names displayed as garbage. Any suggestions?

Use cnigma image if u want it to display properly in chinese.

I re-flashed my DM800SE with various images and the results are as follows:

1. Cnigma-OpenPli 2.1-dm800se-ssl84b, the "service search" scan can't even find any channels. Keys and SCCE were copied into usr directory. Same issue on OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm800se-20111218-sim2-SSL84b by aguda.

2. Cnigma2-GP3.0.43-dm800-sim2-SSL-84b - "IMAGE FOR WRONG ARCHITECTURE".

3. SG-BlackHole-1-7-4-dm800se-ramiMAHER - Hangs at boot after flashing.

4. SG-Dream Elite V3.0-dm800se(Ver10-r5) - Can't download mgcamd. Error message while installing mgcam "failed to download http://www.tunisia-dreambox.info....."

So tired of flashing until I revert back to newnigma2-dm800se-v3-3-2-ramiMAHER. Still getting the garbage display on Chinese programs... living with it for now...

if this won't work for you then most likely is user problem not image

Peace bro. I put that list up to share the experience and also as some form of log for myself, not to complain. I guess I just don't have luck with PLi and Chinese EPG this time round. So I am back to Newnigma 3.3.2 (both version from original and ramiMAHER works, except the chinese display).

I don't doubt YPVS' image and I never once complained or said there's any problems with his image. If you noticed, I just kept trying without complaining.

Just FYI. I know these boxes can be cranky. I speak from experience, having flashed 5 boxes in 1 go for a friend who bought them for his family members. All 5 boxes were from the same local reseller, bought on the same day. But I have to use different methods to flash, and some (not all) of them behave slightly differently (e.g. remote buttons) after flashing. I even had to flash Merlin on 1 and then flash again on Newnigma before I got all of them on Newnigma.
