Remote Problems

I have a Dreambox DM500-C, most probably cloned I believe. I am running the new DK image v1.1,

I have a strange problem with my remote control. When using it, it randomly mutes the box or changes stations. Basically it does not respond in the correct manner to the button presses.

This is R/C no.2 and R/C no.1 did the same so I assume it is a box issue. Any ideas on what to look at to resolve this.

Ps I've tried replacing the batteries as I know this can cause isses too. Had a look around the forums and can't find any fixes.

Any help appreciated.

i have the same prob sometimes on my 2nd box. i just ignore it mate. its a pain, but as i like you could find no solution, i learned to live with it

I get this sometimes too, bugs the hell out the missus so I have never attempted to fix it

We have the box in a glass rack/table thingy so I put it down to the reflection off the glass (whether it is or not...).

Ah bollocks, but fair enough. Just anightmare when you are flicking between matches and bloody flicks to radio and mutes the box.

Don't think it is reflection from the glass etc mate, no such obstacle with my 2nd box. only thing i have seen about fixing it (and i cant remember where) involved replacing the ir sensor.
and who can be arsed with that?
