pli jade 2 image

Trying the new jade2 image but cannot get it to pick up any transponders was using dk1.1 and had to use bruteforce.Is there a way to put the bruteforce selection into the image instead of the sr6900 and 6875 selections.

After doing a bit of reading now got the bruteforce selection will let u know wot i think of this new 500c image

The Jade2 images will come with a German cables.xml (scanning) file in it so it won't pick up anything on UK cable. You will need to copy a UK cables.xml file to /var/etc and reboot to take effect.

I have put Jade2 on my cable box and it is working fine. I cannot see any difference from the previous Jade. Last time I checked the Pli web site they were asking for an accurate uk cables.xml file so they could add it to their image.

The PLi team have always been helpful with adding mods to their image to make it more UK friendly.

Got her installed and put the cable xml file in are the keys put into the same files keys and scce like dk 1.1 as i tried it that way and only get fta channels

Did you turn it S*y Sport1 and wait till the channel clears?

i just posted for some help on this very subject, not had a relpy yet, i used darkstar and then jade cos all the keys are there, i uploaded to my box and scanned on astra and got the channels but just fta, turned to sp1 and still nothing.

how did you go on?

still got nothing just reinstalling again had dk 1.1 running perfect but this is ridiculous

There's not anything new here, if you have a working image then it should be a shooty in with a raw one.

On your working image, take a copy of the /var/keys and /var/scce folder and store them on your PC.

On your new image:

Install evocamd - usually it can be downloaded from the blue button menu.
Copy the contents of the keys folder on your PC to the /var/keys folder on your box.
Copy the contents of the scce folder on your PC to the /var/scce folder on your box.
Go to a premium channel, press menu > shutdown > reboot now.
When it reboots, make sure it shows the message saying that evocamd is starting. If it didn't, go into the blue panel and enable evocamd as the default emu. Start flicking about, it can take a minute or so for the keys to update.

If you have any issues with the Pli image than you better off raising them on their site.

Well after a lot of help from devilfish i now have a fully working pli jade 2 image many thanks to you devilfish.I really loved the dk 1.1 image but cant stop messing around with the box with different images.The difference i seem to have noticed in jade 2 and dk1.1 is that jade 2 plays channels like sky sp**ts 1 full screen and no black lines at the top or bottom of screen.(widescreen style)

Just put Jade 2 on my new Dreambox 500c now I'm lost can someone help. as can't get any channels on uk.Ive read a lot of this forum and others and it would seem that its not connecting with the proper transponders. I understand that I may need uk cables.xml, but can someone explain how this is installed?

PS. I am also hooked on flashing new images onto the box. Just to see what they look like . Be nice to be able to get them to work.
