Download the cables.xml file and ftp to var/etc folder on your dreambox and then do full scan.

Just put Jade 2 on my new Dreambox 500c now I'm lost can someone help. as can't get any channels on uk.Ive read a lot of this forum and others and it would seem that its not connecting with the proper transponders. I understand that I may need uk cables.xml, but can someone explain how this is installed?

You have to ftp the cable xml file into the var/etc folder.Then when you have done this and done a bruteforce scan on your box press the blue button and download the latest menu.When this is done go to downloads and then softcams and download the evocamd 2.17b.When this has finished goto the softcam settings and select the evocamd and save and restart softcam.If you have already put the keys in just put it on sky sp**ts 1 and leave it till it clears

downloaded the belfast services.xlm tried to ftp it but the filezilla wont connect to the box . it says it has timed out? i have now flashed the box with lastest dk 1.1 image will this help?

I'm just about finished modding this image and have added a few extra bits - I'll post it later today or tomorrow once I have tested it all out and finished tweaking it.

You'll get to see a couple of new skins you probably haven't seen before which I have added picon support to + the usual image\keys\services backup ppanel menu. With a remapped remote functions, extra plugins + the ability to download roms + keyfiles & a UK cables.xml

I was going to change the boot logo as well - but I ran out of room on the flash - LOL.

Oh Yeah - and the image will only be for the dreambox 500.
