a little d500-s help please/rotor/info

there is not much open now without useing cs
as for the motor try another image incase its a bad flash

hi,
thanks for your reply, i have tried this with many different images and the rotor still does not turn, i am thinking that it should turn when i go to the rotor settings and turn it on the drop down menu? if they dont need configering to rotate from the image then i guess its broke, hardly used it!! will the dbox roms work in my dreambox? as i can only get fta should it still pick up ssp123 etc with added keys?
if not then i guess i gotta read up on this cs milarky.

Well after reading loads of posts, it seems that if i just use the magic files along with the dk image go to sp1 and info and i should be in luck, i have the jade image so can i appl the same technic? gonna try later if not gonna put on dk image and try that ,,,again. any help on the other topics i posted still up for discussion.

The above only applies to cable. If you want the same for sat than the 'magic files' equates to Satankey bundle or dreambox keys. If the next question is where do I get these files than the answer is google is your best friend.

i know cardshare talk is forbidden so just a few pointers to where i am going wrong i can find the rest out myself it think.

You need to configure motor settings go to sat config,and select G Box function and enable you also need to put in your position longitude and latitude .

rotar still not moving, i have read that this can be to do with the image? still trying different images, been looking for satans magic dust....any suggestion for the rotor not turning when selceted in the config menu?

Hi paul were you able to get the correct longitude latitude settings,you could try a sat nav for this,if you post the type of motor you have you might be able to get some info on troubleshooting.

here is what i have done so for, i have flashed about 10 or more images on the box this is no problem for me to do and not a problem to enter keys if need via ftp.
I have had ones with no keys and others with keys and as the dish is stuck on 19.2 all i get is the fta, even if i enter the keys posted for april 08 via ftp, after a transponder scan i get a few fta and at the races and sp2 and a few others, the fta are fine but others are not, am i thinking that the keys wont get the other channels up and running like my dbo2 does? as i was on cardshare b4 i had them all but this guy set it up for me so i am learning from scratch, and using my limited knoledge on the dbox.

ok so fresh image installed, i think i used jade but then put on my original gemini image to keep things as they were, all the settings are gone for rotor positions but i have them noted down the main things is getting it to move and recieving other channels, i have inputed the longitude and lat settings and highlighed astra 19.2 and tried to move the dish one step left and right but nothing, should it move if its working or is will it not move if there are no settings inputed?
i have been on about evey forum chasing results and about to give up but something is holding me on..

so really in a nutshell i have gemini image with no settings or keys installed, if keys are installed what channels will work to show the keys are working on astra19.2 ??? certainly races downt work or movies, as for the rotor make, going to get up in the loft and see if i can find the manual, this maybe of help to us all,,,

sorry for the confusion, its a 500-s.
ok just reading the manual as i type this, its says that the rotor has a reset function and a way to turn the dish manually and it has green and orange leds on it to, so maybe i can move the dish via the rotor underside, and read if there is a power light indicated as referd to by the manual, this will then atleast indicate power? i cant get up there now to look need a pint!! but sure i will look tommorw when i finnish work.

ok followed the manual on the dreambox on how to imput the rotor long and lat settings and i have stored a 19.2 and tried to move via the step left and right, i am getting promps to say the dish is moving but nothing...so i am going to look under the rotor for lights indicating a fault, and try to turn the dish via these small buttons next to a hardware reset tiny hole, maybe i will try the hardware reset if nothing else works.

back after work tommorrow 1pm to continue my quest

No problm Paul I have just installed pli jade 2 onto my box and it ~~~~ed it up my motor wont turn so I am reverting to my backed-up image will probaby be in touch again tomorrow.

ok yeah seems to be some prob with images ~~~~ing up the rota, followed it by the book and it should be turning so im going to check the rotar and try to turn manual tomorrow to see if power is working and not a rota fault, if only we had working images on hand to save our grief..

but then where is the fun? ok mate catch ya laters
