Hello firstly to everyone,
I have just bought a dm500c and know nothing about what I am doing. So could really do with some help in getting it going to get all channels (simple instructions would be really appreciated). It opens with the digital-kaos start up and when I carry out an automatic scan ( with bruteforce or cable ones) it seems to find all the channels but I cannot view a lot of them - EPG works on them put no picture/sound. A few of the FTA and a few others channels seem to come on but thats it. The ones that do not come on seem to have a lock (key) symbol on the OSD but i have tried the set up lock but with no joy. I think I have to update firmware onto it and I have a RS232 null cable modem cable just waiting to be used but wanted someone in the know's advise on what to update and exactly how b4 i messed it up. I have a birmingham virgin cable supply.
