Co-Ax Wiring for a new Dreambox

VM are coming on friday to deliver a new STB and connect a co-ax to the back of my tv (cuurent coax runs upstairs for BB only and a second one ends outside for the phone)

If i wanted a Dreambox upstairs can i lust cut the cable to the modem, fit F connectors and splitters and run co-ax to the STB?

    Cheers

Any reason not to cut n fit connectors? I need the new box to be about 5 meters from where the cable currently is. surely its better to only make 1 break and not join loads of small cables together?

you can m8 but you can get different lengths of cable and buy your own screw connectors remember sat and cable coax is different to normal

Yeah i have no problem with which cabkle to use or fitting f connectors (done loads of sat stuff before) just wasnt sure if u could just split the cable feed like u can a terestrial coax, you cant just do that with sat feeds.

            Thanks for the advice
