ive got cables run from 3 boxes to my desktop and if i conn to db1 then the only way i can conn to db2 or db3 is to reboot or change the ip add each time even tho all boxes have the same ip add.

it may be a firewall setting to be adjusted, if u can connect to the internet the connection is ok, if u cant connect to pc its probaly because of a firewall ( as long as your ip settings have not been cahnged)

I had the same problem a few weeks ago, I had connected my dreambox through my router many times using windows XP. then the last time I cound not connect no matter how I tried.

So I switched over to windows vista and bingo went in no problem, I think mine may have been firewall problems.

reddevil, you can not connect 3 box with the same ip add to one router. every box must have is own ip, different from the others.
this is a lan rule, its the same for computers

matt, I never said they were connected to a router m8, wat I said was "Ive got cables run from 3 boxes to my desktop"
I am using crossover cables for a direct connection that is why they all have the same ip
