there are a couple of channels in austria streaming just 1802 and rom 110 a07 are opening them! ive also seen 2 cards released in the last couple of weeks and serials are 300 and 500 and somethin up from mine so my way of thinkin is this card is already nagra 3 enabled(could be wrong tho) there hotting the pace up here movies switched this mornin. will have to get fix sooner rather than later hopefully.

The latest cards to be released in Ireland will/are ROM142 RevG02 which is Nagra3.

Only in NT* cable areas I am told and I am not sure of exactly what subscriber tier as of yet.

Regarding N3 take a look at the Sat scene and you will see how they are getting on with it.

Ive been following it on the sat scene and have major doubt it will ever be opened its not stable enough for long enough!
thats 1 good reason to be lookin at alternatives there gettin to smart (excuse the pun) with card tec so im figurin some of these boxes are out years they couldnt have seen this far ahead.

get BK from upc nagravision 2 smart card

I know, I know, I'm awfully late...

However, - regarding the upc nagravision 2 smart card. Is there meanwhile any way to get the Boxkey? I do not want to watch pay tv for free. I just want to use the card in a receiver / TV of my choice, - not in this crap upc box.

The great Unicam CAM has since firmware v5.38 a nice feature called "Boxkey, RSA key mode". So, it looks that when I can get the BK, - I will be able to use EVERY TV / receiver, without any restrictions.

I read somewhere that a nagra 2 smart card can be "unlooped", while nagra 3 can not. At ebay I can get such "Unloopers" for about euro 20.-

prior to your nagra3 card did you have a older card i.e nagra 1, 2 if so maybe you can get info from it... if not you need to dump flash from upc box..... i would guess

The card I have is NOT Nagra 3, - it's Nagra 2. The corresponding upc receiver is quite old, - I do not believe that upc has upgraded them to Nagra 3.

But I agree, most other solutions are upgraded to Nagra 3, especially the CI+ CAMs are since their introduction all Nagra 3. (I am from continental Europe, not Ireland, - upc offers here more receiving solutions.)

I read that with these "unloopers" I should be able to read the boxkey from Nagra 1 & 2 cards. Is that right, - or is "unlooping" only possible for Nagra 1?
