    DM600 recording

    ive a few 3.5" hdd lying around is there a 3.5" to 2.5" adaptor i can get to use on the dm600pvr (ive seen them the other way round)or is there a way to rec to a ext usb hdd
    id be interested to hear wat method of storing recorded stuff from u lot, and of course the pros & cons

    a 3.5" drive takes power from a 4pin power cable, the 2.5" drives take the power via the ide cable and the ide interface that is specific to those 2.5 drives.. No USB on a dm600. you can only use an internal 2.5 HDD up to 500Gb or a network attached device.

      ive got 3 different 2.5 hdd as well, all different and small storage so lookin to get a 250gb or so, wat is the specific name for the one for the 600 cos id prob end up buyin the wrong one on ebay

        I use a 250gig Western Digital Whisper Drive (don't know model number)... nice and quiet and was easy to set up... just connected it up and set the box to see it and then formatted it.

        remember to buy IDE not sata
