Before you get burnt at the stake for practicing witchcraft the jury would like
to know why would you bother to change front on box that wasn't working
P.S. By front do you mean hinged flap or front c/w L.E.D etc.
If it's the former you will be found guilty

If IRELAND's OWN is still in circulation send them this post.
You'll win first prize. I am attempting a bit of black magic myself. If it comes
off i'll take that prize off you.
I have all 145 digital chls. scanned onto samsung DTV
The software i'm using is clearing all chls (20+) on N1 stream
My mate is searching german sites for N2 fix (like DIABLO cam fix) that I
can flash onto 50"TV without frying it. It's only 2 months old.

                Hi Folks.

I had this problem and discovered that the box was in fact a clone and the sim card installed would not accept any of the newer bootloaders #67 & #70 for example. It was fixable in my case, by simply using DreamUp (1.3.3.4) to flash with an image with a supported bootloader. eg. PLI Jade 3 Enigma 1 hxxp://www.pli-images.org/downloads.php?cat_id=11

Also, you may find that DreamUp fails if you are using one of the crappy Prolific USB to RS232 adapters. To be certain, dig out a comp with a proper COM Port or buy an old cheap pc and install a compact Windows XP on it.

                Hope that helps.

Great post Harmo, will enlighten lot of people. A lot of us on here can
set up any box, when we're winning 3-0 & the sun is on our backs.
Give us a strange P.C. (on vista) & we ring the Samaritans.
I bought 10 USB-9pin leads, They looked the biz., robust screened cables
You could drive a truck over them. Installed driver on P.C., a doddle.
Flashed every different kind of cable tuner , no bother.
Flashed images to Nokia & Sagem d-boxes, I was invinceable(????)
Tried Dream-Up on 5 different Dm500's, No Go.
                  D/loaded 4 dream-up versions, no luck
Had to FTP image to dreamboxes, & everyone knows Dream-up is
Imbecile proof. During post mortem re-installed my old flimsy lead &
you know what happened ; Dream-Up no problem.

Hey folks...it's the least I can do. Found fragments of info all over the place and thought it was important to consolidate it all here.

Also should mention, that those images that give the CA Error DO work if you install them on multiboot (Compact Flash or HDD) using the Barry Allen Plugin. Please note that, newer Barry Allen plugins also need a newer bootloader which will not work on clones, so you need the older version with no boot check. Download here http://www.cm2r.co.uk/downloads/barryallen.rar

                      Njoy.

Might be useful to know that PLI Enigma1 Jade 3 works on my clone DM600PVR too. You don't just post for fun, Harmo, excellent post again.
It's of no use to me, I keep away from PLi & B.Allen.
                        I just follow imbecile route; D.K 1.1 ,N2 files, chls. clear & I'm happy.
But there are plenty of members who will find your post very useful.
Look forward to another bright post from you to-morrow.

Top o' the mornin' to you Harmo, how'yu pal.
Not aware of any D.K. 600 image. I stick to 500 dream because there is
great support for them. The 600 is the least supported of all dreams.
Get it up & running & sell it on. Then get yourself a 500,725,or800.
I recall a post saying to keep away from enigma images. Satsmo will
be on later, I see he was prowling around yesterday. Good to have you
back, Sats. Missed the comfort of knowing you were looking over one's
shoulder like a guardian angel. I picked up a yellow card in your abscensedue to lack of guidance. I will atone for this misdemeanour.
Sorry for going off track,Harmo, But you have to soft-soap the Mod.
If you had time & felt up to it, Harmo, why don't you create your own 600
image. Have a look thru other images, use any bits you like, add your own little tweaks. You could even use CELTIC crest as boot-logo.
The seasoned campaigners on here would be very helpful with any
                            snags you might encounter.
                            P.S.
If you don't like green boot-logo use Man. United crest.
