    DM500 Dreambox 500C Standby or Leave on

    Is it okay to just leave it on (green light) all the time or better to place on standy (red light) when turning off the TV?

    I know some say never turn off main power as may corrupt and need a reflash.

    Advice ?

          Dun turn off if you want your box lifespan to last longer
          You can turn off only if you know how to reflash back when image drop

              From reliable info,
              If yr Hex-convertor is 74HC04, it best u switch off everyday to clear buffer. Symptom is after a pro-long view, picture bcom mossiac ot irritating squares appears.
              If Hex-convertor is 74HCU04, best to leave it on standby that way, prevent surge electro-charge that may damage capacitors which are most prompt to blot-out.
