    DM500 Suddenly lost all channels help please

    All channels display service unavailable and now when i try to scan on my local service it says no transponders found... help please!!

    ps i have flashed the image, checked the wire still no joy

      are you paying for any sort of subscription?

      has anyone elses in the street went off??

      have you selected the correct area for the scan??

          plug in your vermin box to double check you have got a signal getting through

          when the sea gulls follow the trawler,it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea

              my vermin box is still fine and all channels there

              i used the same scan as i did intially when i got all channels

                  i dont know if this helps...

                  i started with just a normal tv co-ax connector on the end of my cable and the dreambox worked, today i swapped this for an f-type to add the splitter to run both boxes and this is where it stopped working.

                  The vermin box still works fine throught the splitter but not the dreambox.

                  Now i have tried to replace the co-ax connector on the cable and try a direct run to the dreambox but still no joy... any ideas?

                      just a wee update, i checked the box before work and still had the same issue, for some reason i decided to swap the scart lead back to the original one i had and bingo it seems to pick up transponders!

                      cant check properly from work as it takes an age to select the correct area remotely so will confirm later tonight

                      thanks to those that tried to help!

                      bloody bizare if it is the scart lead that caused the issue

                          never heard of scart lead affecting scanning, still saying that im sure one of the more technically minded boys may be able to confirm that signal leakage from the scart may cause this?

                                      no i work in IT and have never heard anything sooo ludicris but i have tested it again and confirmed that as the issue
