fault on dreambox 500c

Hi all i got a dreambox 500c and the strange thing that is happening is it just goes dead with the green light stuck on and no picture this happens like every 13 or so + hours keeps cutting off. its like as if its some kind of over heating itself, not that its hot or anything, would be greatful for any idea's thnx.

Is there any reponse from the remote?

If its in a confined space it could be a heating problem, if not maybe a hardware problem.

First thing I would try is a reflash.

no response from remote, i guess it seems like your right about a heat problem. I did do a re-flash but still the same.

See how long it survives outside a tv cabinet and not ontop/underneith anything else eg. dvd player etc.

Its in open area so its not like i got anything on top of the box there is plenty of air going to it, i guess its not such a pain to let it cool down for a few minutes but a pain if it goes of when your enjoying some movie thnx anyway.
