    New Skin - Xline Modded

Here you go guys, this is a brand new skin not seen on the net before and it's for people running the pli jade 2 image (untested on other images) It was made using ultraedit, photoshop and tested on a dreambox 500. (although it will probably work on a 600)

It was tested on a high def - 37" TV so if you have a smaller TV it might not display properly - although It might & probably will be fine on something smaller.

It is a heavily modded version of the xline skin - although this one looks better to me (but I am biased). It displays in both mini and maxi zap modes and supports picons.

All picons are stretched to a resolution of 104x72 for easier reading, also included are some sample plicons and a photoshop template I made if you wish to make your own custom icons.

I assume you know how to install skins to your boxes - if not use google.

I hope you enjoy this - it's taken me about 2 days to complete but it's always nice to share to the community so if you don't like it - just delete again. However once you have this on your box you'll probably keep it.

    Laters & Enjoy.

NOTE:Best veiwed with transparency turned off, and brightness & contrast just under half way.

    Thanks mate.

Any idea how I would install this on either Nabilosat Darkstar or DK 1.1, would I just install it as a normal skin or does it need a custom install?

Just install as normal - as long as in your share/fonts folder you have pakenham.ttf it should work, otherwise all that would be needed is to modify the bit in the skin that deals with the volume bar.

Thank you mrdude for sharing your work. Looking forward to reading some feedback comments. A few screenshots would have been nice but I guess it makes the surprise better!

For those who don't know how to install a skin, here's how...

The skin files go in /var/tuxbox/config/enigma.

Copy the xline folder in the pictures folder to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/pictures.
Copy the xline folder in the fonts folder to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/fonts.
Copy the .esml and .info files to /var/tuxbox/config/enigma/skins.

Using the remote: Menu > Shutdown > restart enigma

        Hopefully it should restart ok.

Using the remote: Menu > Setup > System Settings > OSD Settings > Change Skin

The new Xline skin should be available to select from the list.

All going well, it should be there after the box restarts.

        Good luck!

LOL if it doesn't start though all you need to do is ftp your config file to your pc - edit out the skin part and then ftp it back to your box.

Either that or the default skin should load automatically if the skin doesn't exist.

I've had the box get stuck in a boot loop trying out new skins, that one missing font is a b*****d!

                    Skins with plicons?

I could not download the attach... Does it exist anywhere else?

Also is there any list of skins with plicon support? I noticed original xline does not have plicons, as many others.
