I received my DM500c today and I was wondering if anyone can assist me in setting up my DM500c. From conect it to my PC to install and receiving channels.

hi brigadier, welcome to dk. i dont know if you're up and running yet, but heres what you need mate;
first, you'll need an image
Digital Kaos - Downloads - Digital Kaos v1.1 Image for Dm500 C/S/T

then some files to "make the magic happen"
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting

you'll need a null modem cable next
and this bit of software
Digital Kaos - Downloads - dream up v1.3.3.2

ok, next bit is to have a read of this guide;
Digital Kaos - Downloads - Noobs guide to 500c

you'll need an ftp proggy such as:-
Digital Kaos - Downloads - FlashFXP v3.0.2

now if you follow the guide, everything should be golden.
if you dont have a null modem cable, you can use your router and telnet to the box

I'm having extreme difficulties the FTP, I followed instructions to the letter however, I'm not receiving any connections. I am not sure how to obtain my IP address from the dreambox. I used the ip address in the dream up

to get ur dreambox ip menu--setup--expert setup--communication setup.......
make sure ur db ip is higher than pc ip
