Newbie trying to complete DB setup!

Hi, newbie here trying to complete my DB 7025 setup, here goes, post #1... I've managed to get my DB working to recieve all the FTA channels on cable and sattelite using the excellent guides and tutorials on this and other forums(2 weeks mind you!). There does not seem to be as much info regarding the latter stages to completing the setup, i think its because everyone has connectivity to the net and downloads directly through their DB (Blue panel), which I dont have (yet!) due to my routers location. Im trying to understand which EMU to use and figuring out the R*M and magic files...

This is my current setup:
Image : Nabilo Blackhole V9.0
Cam1: Evocamd 2.17 (Currently running)
Cam2: Mgcamd 131
Cam3: Ccam 2010
R*m: Nagrar*m 7 (Ftp'd to var/tmp and activated through plugins menu, nothing...)

Can someone please explain the difference between the EMU's and whether a specific R*M is required for each? Im looking to get my cable working before before I even dream to tackle the sattlelite channels! Thanks!

for cable you ftp the rom files over to the keys folder and then it will AU. When i was using cable i was using evocamd and all worked fine.

for sat cccam is best but to get many channels you will need a cam or need to cs as emu doesnt open much at the mo as encryption is changing.

Hi looks like you have done the hard work now get the latest keys & roms (google thechatterboxtoolbar) then put them in var/keys(keys) & var/scce(roms)
The roms work with any of the cams.

Evocamd
Keys directory: /var/keys - Autoupdate.Key & Keylist.txt
Program files: /var/bin - evocamd
Config files: /var/keys - camd_cfg
AU files: /var/keys - Autoupdate.Key, /var/scce/ - nagraepr3.bin, nagraepr7.bin, nagraepr10.bin, nagraepr11.bin, nagraram3.bin, nagraram7.bin, nagraram10.bin, nagraram11.bin, nagrarom3ext.bin

MGcamd
Keys directory: /var/keys - SoftCam.Key & AutoRoll.Key
Program files: /var/bin - mgcamd
Config files: /var/keys - mg_cfg

Hi Ryan, thanks for the quick response. I meant to say the R*M file was transfered to my /keys directory and installed via the plugin menu. Do I require additional files or k*ys or is my R*M version out of date? Thanks

If you installed via the blue button you should be able to install keys via that to ( you can on sat not sure bout cable)

like despdan said all files you will need availalable via chatterbox toolbar ready to ftp over but its easyer to download via blue button if you can connect to a router

Hi guys, was unable to locate the full list of files from TCB.cc only the rom.bin files were available and not the ram & epr files. Done a bit of searching through the forum and came across a number of posts that had links to the files:

All files set to 755

I already had the program and config files for both EMU although they appear with the EMU_version dont think this should be an issue. I have also replaced the nagrarom7+10+11.bin file with those from TCB.cc thinking that the ones provided in the link from 2008 was out of date, rebooted box, brought to slysport1, activated both cams through blue panel, still no joy...

One thing I have missing apart from the newer Ram & Epr files are the nagra 3 files, however, these have not been mentioned in any of the threads where users have had the same issues. Any ideas, I feel that im nearly there! Thanks

Do you have a file called camd_cfg in the keys folder?

Hi, just wanted to update the post to say that I have got evocamd_2.17 working with the additional files pointed out in the last two posts (thanks Satman,Despdan,Ryan). I mangaged to get hold of the feynman.fg & newcamd-client.txt file from the following link http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...clearing-5713/ into the keys folder, restarded the evcamd through the blue panel, sorted! thanks to those who put me in the right direction hope this post will help others setting up their 7025 for cable, one tip, everything you need can be found in the digital kaos forums!
