anyone have the original firmware for a dm500c or the name of the firmware. please. i have a feeling it might be a clone , but the man said it ain't i must check the serial code and find out when i recieve it to bring it back to original state

Its more than likely a clone mate as they have not made these for a while now.. Why not take a pic of the inside and post it here the guys will then advise you. For a copy of the original software/firmware etc you can download that from the (genuine) manufacturers website...

this may seem a silly question, but i believe i'm right in saying that the original firmware for a dreambox doesnt have the ability to have keys roms and emus.
in this case, and taking into account the reason 99% of us buy dreamboxes, why would you want to do that?
as regards the seller telling you its real, ask him to stick the gemini clone bomb image on it. if its real, no probs, if its fake, he'll have to provide you with a new one.
less drastic, i suppose you could take the lid off and compare to this pic.
