reseting box deletes the files,

hi guys, just put the 1.1dk image on a 500c , then ftp'd the other bits over to it ,taht it needs,like the key files etc etc , now i have a quandry when i press factory reset it just goes back to freeview box, and deltes the key stuff , how can i store these permanently on the box so this doesnt happen?

DONT press factory reset. that will revert the box back to the state it was in when it was first flashed. of course you lost everything.

ok , obviously i wont be pressing it anymore , but if i accidently press it , is there a way to store these other files permanently in the box to prevent this happening again

no mate. as i said before it will take the box back to original state.
anywhay how can you accidentally press factory reset?
MENU>SETUP>EXPERT SETUP>FACTORY RESET
Thats 4 button presses. i don't understand how it would be possible to accidentally press it.
make a back up image is the only way to save all your information.

. i see your point with accidently pressing 4 buttons in sequence , but least now i know , and was reading through teh other post and at least my box isnt a clone ,but a genuine box,

genuine box? thats a rarity these days.
anyway m8 make a back up image. use this guide

that way if you do reset the box or anything happens that requires a reflash, you'll always have that backup with keys,roms boquets etc exactly as you like them
