when i switch on my dmc 500 ii it suddenly say "Please Insert Smartcard" when i insert the starhub smartcard , it says smart card installation fail.What should i do ?

but you indicated its a 500C-II and you insert a smart card, so which is which? And please dont put a starhub card into a dreambox unit, they are not related or under same boss. Please know what you are using and what you are buying
If its a 500c, but you indicate its a 500c-II?
If it doesn't have card, but you insert a smartcard?
And where does the smart card comes from>??
For your info, 500c doesnt have insert smart card error message
Can you go back to your source (seller) for advise
