DM500 Am a total Noob!!

Hi I am a total Noob to Flashing, etc.. I recently recieved a Black Box 500c and am only recieving Fta channels, I have had a look at guides on other forums but Its all going straight over my head can somebody please give me a step by step guide?? I know it may be annoying, but weve all gotta start somewhere!! Firstly can I ask is there a way I can do it manually without connecting my box to my Pc as I dont have an ethernet crossover cable.. Please make the guide as idiotproof as possible

You will need to connect your box to your pc. There are lots of threads that help explain step by step what you need to do. here is a very good guide here. Look at the red stickys at the top of the dreambox section to find other guides and tips.

Blackbox 500

Hi, have had dreambox 500c before and starview 4. got blackbox today, has kaos flashed on it but only picks up FTA channels?? Help please, from memory i know there should be something else i should do after scanning!! thanks nma50n!!

hi,you also have to hold down info button for 5 sec if its the kaos imageto start evocamd 2.12 hope this helps
