How can I setup my DM 500-C

Hi digital kaos,
I have bought a DM 500-C but I dont know how to set it up. You cannot connect a satellite Antenna to it because it has no input for a sattelite antenna. Is there anyway I can watch channels on my dreambox 500-C through the ethernet wire? If there is a way can you please explain it to me. Thanks for the help .

Ive already tried that. When I do an Automatic Transponer Scan it doesnt find any services (chanels) even if i connect the dreambox to an ethernet cable it doesnt find anything.

You wont receive any channels via ethernet. the DM 500C is a cable receiver and you need to be a virgin media subber.

For satellite you need a DM 500S

If you get a Virgin subscription you then connect the provided cable to antenna socket which is the only way you will receive channels.

You cant watch TV via ethernet, that port is for networking and connecting your box to your PC and flashing it.

You need to do a lot of reading of the DK Cable & Satellite forums. All the information you need is there, you just need to search for it.

Like I said the DM 500C is for cable, and by the sound of it, no use to you. Sorry.
