    DM500 Remote access to dreambox

I am finding it a little difficult to remotely access my dreambox.
So far i can view streams on my network but not remotely from a different internet connection.

I can access my netgear router via the internet using my external ip address and can configure it too.

My netgear router has port forward/trigger option which i have set port forward 80 to my dreambox. However i am a little confused as to what port i should give to my dreambox.

There appear to be start port and end port.

Can i use a player such as mfaraj or fiscstream to remotely view my dreambox?
If so how do i configure these ip address settings into these players to access the stream remotely.

Any help appreciated, sorry if the above sounds a bit confusing...just trying to get my head round it.

I a have read most tutorials regarding this but they are a little confusing for me.

Ok I have got as far as being able to open my web interface remotely, using port forwarding.

When i was directly connected to my dreambox via my router, my web interface would allow me to download the VLC video.M3U file. Which would allow me to view the stream via VLC.

But i cannot do this remotely, when i open web interface using another internet connection I can change channels, settings etc but when i click to download the video.m3u file nothing happens.

So im almost there becuase i can access and control my web interface remotely but cannot yet view a stream.

      Any ideas?
      Thanks
