Definitely NOT a 13A!!! If you want to burn your house down, use a 13A fuse.
Use a 3A fuse or at most a 5A. The fuse is there to save you. If a surge of power flows to the power supply, the fuse will blow and save your device. If the fuse doesn't blow, i.e. because you have a 13A fuse in it, the device will heat up and possible burn out and start a fire. The chances are slim but it could happen.Comment

I have to agree. I'm not sure what the power draw of a dreambox is but if its more than 3A im getting rid of mine!!!Definitely NOT a 13A!!! If you want to burn your house down, use a 13A fuse.

Remember that 3 amps is almost 700 watts (based on 230v supply) and that would make the unit HOT
. I would have thought 1 amp would be sufficient but inrush currents at power up may be too much for that. I have a 3 amp in mine, if i had to replace it i'd try a 1 amp and see how it goes.
The fuse is really there to protect the wiring, i doubt the power lead for a dreambox could hold 13 amps for any significant amount of time. Which mean a short fault could be very dangerous.
well thats my 2p worth
