I have the same problem but in my case the green light is bright it is not the power supply.still I cant connect via network cable.
the above link say'ed that he could still ftp his box.
I even tried to ftp that also do not work.

they say use dreamup while bridged.
do I need to bridge with a jumper while power is on at dreambox ?
