You need to add keys and rom files to the image before it will decrypt premium channels.

jesus thanks,i'm new to all this and i've spent the last week going backwards and fordwards from site to site,and trying to download load of stuff but at last thanks,i finally i have somewhere positive to startall i have to do now is get a null modem cable.
my friend sent my box back to its factory reset and i retuned in all the channels,but only film four,alibi,ewtn,rte1 and virgin work the rest just have a black screen,would i have to download a new image and keys or would just flashing the box work???????
it a linux box i have like the black one advertised but silver,have you got any good tips??????????

You just need to ftp keys and rom files to the box. Most images don't come with these files.

Hi guys, have a dreambox 500c and null modem cable on the way,can you recommend an image to flash which has the rom and key files attached so I dont have to fpt them.

No image comes with keys and rom files included, that's illegal. Unless you can find an image which someone has added them and backed it up and posted it somewhere, you won't get one.

Is there anyway you could suggest what we search for to find these? Im not sure what roms and keys im looking for and its very confusing...
