    IP address query

Hi there....I am very new to the world of Dreambox.

I am setting it up to record to my pc. There are refernces to ip address and usually is 192.168.etc.

My pc is one of 4 and connected to a modem / router.

When I do the command "ipconfig" on my pc I get 10.1.1.3. Is this the ip address I should use on the Dreambox configuration.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Ray

My router has \\readyshare\USB_Storage listed as available folders. Im running PLI jade3 and am in the web interface trying to mount no luck. any help please?

          Hi all,

I read your post regarding setting up a HDD for recording and wonder if you can help me out.

I am using a Buffalo Linkstation NAS but I couldn't mount it using the tutorial found in the thread:

          Here are my settings:

I am using Newnigma2 image on my 800HD and I have created a folder "Recordings" in the root directory of my NAS. The username and password are the login details when I access the NAS from a web browser.

          Active: enable
          Local share name: Recordings
          Mount type: CIFS share
          Server IP: 192.168.2.7
          Server share: media/hdd
          use as HDD replacement: yes
          Mount options: rw
          Username: admin
          Password: ********

Devilfish mentioned using SMBFS for NAS enclosure but I cannot find it in the mount type option. I can only choose between NFS and CIFS.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks..

Need help setting up to record with Buffalo Linkstation Pro Duo

I have gone through all the pages in this thread with no avail.

Need help filling this page just to start off on the right track.

              Client directory:
              ServerDirectory:
              Remote Host Name/IP:

I have given static address for my dreambox 500c (192.168.1.135) and NAS (192.168.1.203).

I have created a folder (RECORDINGS) in my NAS web interface. Allowed for read & write mode. Guest access is enabled.

Hi I have problem to mount my drive on DM500S.

Can anyone help me set the DM500S settings for mount drive?
NAS is Buffalo TeraStation PRO TS-H2.0TGL/R5-EU

                My router IP: 192.168.1.1 (Netgear)
                DM500S IP: 192.168.1.10
My NAS IP: 192.168.1.7 (only admin access for configuration, no file access)
My NAS folder: \\NAS-001\DreamBox (shared folder)
                NAS user and password: dreambox

My problem is that with IP I not have access to shared folder, I need to use Network manager to access files and folders.

How can I set this on DM500S?
                Anyone have any solutions?

What is the format of the recorded media?
Can I setup or configure the recording format type?
                          Thanks.
